This Photo Workshop took place at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Kent/England. It was organized by John Wright.

This Photo Workshop took place last year october near Aviemore/Scotland. It was organized by John Wright (Photographers On Safari) with support from Neil McIntyre and Alan Rothery (Skyhigh Falconry). We took a lot of photos of Bisons, Polar Bear, Golden Eagle, Eagle Owl, Merlin, Barn Owl, Badger, Red Squirrel, Crested Tit, and much much more…

After a year of absence we both had the time (and the photos) to try our luck again in the VTNÖ Photo Contest. And with good results: 11 of our photos made it to the final round (Top 30 per Category), and… Martin even surpassed his goal of 1 photo in the Top 10… by WINNING the Category 'Captive'!

We've had some complaints that our website has kind of 'gone to sleep' and that we should re-awaken the display of our photographic activities.

Well... last year we were occupied with a lot of things other than photography. Sure, we still made (a lot of) pictures, but we somehow did not have the time to sort these out and present them on our website.

Now it looks like we finally have found the time, and we will gradually put a selection of our 2010-Photos on the web, starting with 14 Photos from Michi's Photo Workshop “Schmetterlinghaus '10”.

During a visit to the Museumsdorf Niedersulz in Niederösterreich, we (finally) had the chance to enjoy the spring and make pictures of colourful flowers.

Michi has successfully concluded her course 'Artistic Photography' at the WIFI in Vienna. The photos she made for her final exam were on display from the 17th of june until the 7th of july (along with the works of the other participants).

The Photo of the Month April ’10 is taken by Michi:



Michi found this Anemone hepatica (aka Liverwort or Leberblümchen) during our walk in Naturpark Sparbach. It was her first real opportunity for macro photography this year, and she really 'dived in' (as you can see on the 'action-photo').

The Photo of the Month February ’10 is taken by Michi:



This motive intrigued Michi because of its vibrant colours. Since it is now so grey and boring outside, Michi thought this photo would brighten-up the day a bit. The photo was taken in Tiergarten Schönbrunn in November 2009.

The Photo of the Month December ’09 (yes, we skipped November...) is taken by Michi:



It was taken on a late-summer day in the Vienna Zoo, when the lions did nothing but lie around in the sun, and made it easier for us to make a few nice portraits.

Finally we had time to sort-out our photos from this year's Photo Workshop in the Nockberge.
Because we both got sick, we didn't take as many photos as we planned, but at least a few of them were good enough to present to you.

Despite the very high quality of the 993 (!) photos that were submitted in this year's VTNÖ Photo Contest, two of our photos (one each) were selected for the final round (Top 30 per Category). Sadly they didn't make it to the Top 10, but we would like to present them to you anyway:

The Summer Academy for Photography left us wanting for more. In the Product & Experimental Photography workshops we tried our luck at Still Life and Products, played around with Light and tried a lot of Filters, Trick Lenses and other additions that you don't use so often (or at all) in Nature Photography.

Have a look at the results, and let us know whether we should stick to Nature Photograpy...

The Photo of the Month September ’09 is taken by Michi:



It is a lady beetle on a knautia arvensis (aka field scabious or Wiesen-Witwenblume in German).
The photo was taken on our way to the Waldviertel Region in Niederösterreich, Austria - in the garden of Amethyst World Maissau.

In what seems to be a record time (only two weeks after returning from our Holiday in France), we are ready to present you a selection of our photos.

This time, we will spare you the statistics...

After eight Workshops on Nature Photography, we thought it was time to broaden our horizons, and we attended the Summer Academy for Photography in Vienna.

Take a look at our first attempts at Architecture, Portrait and Dance. Of course we didn't leave out a few Photos we took of Animals (in the Vienna Zoo) and Landscape & Garden.

With this selection of photos, we think you will get a good idea how we spent our 2006 Holiday/honeymoon in South England.



Yes, your right... We also want to go back to South England!

After browsing through old photos, we decided to put more of our holiday photos on our homepage, starting with our 2007 Holiday in Scotland.



Looking at these photos makes us wanna go back to Scotland!

Finally... at last we are ready to present you our Photos from our Holiday in Holland.

We came back from Holiday with 1931 Photos (taken in 10 days) - we had already cleaned out the obvious „bad” ones during our Holiday, reduced these to 660 „good” Photos for keeping archived in Aperture, and then a further reduction to 90 was made for presenting them on our Website.



We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do.
